Being male, and Clarkson-aged, I remember, and owned, many of the ‘Classic’ cars which have turned up in hit TV series in recent years. For many years now they’ve just been fond memories, periodically stimulated by looking at old photos, but cars like these are becoming more and more common on our roads, according to a spokesman from Brittania Rescue: “These cars are stylish and they benefit from cheaper road tax so it’s no surprise they are getting a second lease of life.” The Iconic Audi Quattro - as seen in Life on Mars And frankly, I’m not surprised. When the ConDems came to power, and Philip Hammond was made Transport Secretary, we did hope that might be a sign that government policy on cars would finally make sense, especially when Philip Hammond declared ‘The war on motorists is over‘. Philip’s aim was to look at stuff like national speed limits and create a system that made sense, rather than the silly situation we have where everyone knows you won’t get nicked for 85mph on a motorway unless plod got out of bed the wrong side.

BMW 760i in standard and long wheelbase versions has been announced. With the New York Motor Show going on across the pond, all eyes are on the Big Apple for the latest car news, but BMW has chosen today to launch what appears to be a car that won’t be going to the USA – The BMW 760i. Many of us wondered if BMW would give up on their V12 now the world is turning against seemingly profligate cars.
